Ogilvy has appointed Emma Wilkie as Executive Director, Global Creative Excellence, adding her deep industry expertise to its Worldwide Creative Council. Wilkie, celebrated for transforming the Gunn Report into an internationally recognized benchmark for creative excellence, will support Ogilvy’s global creative community spanning 120 offices across 90 countries. She will report directly to Liz Taylor, Ogilvy’s Global Chief Creative Officer.
In her new role, Wilkie will draw on her extensive experience in evaluating creative work and analyzing industry trends to ensure that creative excellence remains central to Ogilvy’s global operations.
Wilkie’s journey in advertising is distinguished by her pioneering work on the Gunn Report, where she played a key role in elevating it to the definitive authority on world-class creative, effectiveness, and media ideas. She also led the development of The Gunn Report Archive, a resource for educators and an invaluable historical reference for the advertising industry.
In 2019, Wilkie oversaw the Gunn Report’s transition to new ownership and its rebranding as the WARC Rankings. Most recently, she contributed to the growth of The Immortal Awards, Little Black Book’s global advertising award show, solidifying her reputation as a champion of creative excellence. Her early career also included agency-side experience at DDB London.
