July 2026 – The International Festival El Ojo de Iberoamérica has officially opened submissions for its 29th edition, which will take place November 11–13, 2026, in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Starting Monday, July 20, agencies, creative consultancies, advertisers, production companies, and businesses specializing in public relations, design, technology, media, gaming, and data can submit their work to compete for the festival’s prestigious awards, widely regarded as among the most important honors in Ibero-American creativity.

Entries will be accepted until September 30, with a tiered pricing structure based on submission dates. The first promotional deadline, offering significant discounts, closes on August 14. The festival also continues to offer its BOOK submission package, which provides special conditions designed to help participating companies optimize their investment.

In addition to category awards, all submitted entries will automatically compete for the 2026 Performance of the Year Awards (Local and Regional Performance Awards), recognizing the top agencies, independent agencies, creatives, production companies, directors, and advertisers across local and regional markets. For 2026, the festival expands these honors by introducing two new distinctions: Best Audio & Sound Production Company and Best Independent Network.

The 2026 competition includes the following categories:

AI Transparency and Integrity

Maintaining the guidelines introduced in 2025, El Ojo is reinforcing its integrity standards to ensure transparency and ethical practices across all submissions. Participants must declare any use of artificial intelligence and submit a signed statement certifying the accuracy of the information and results presented in their case studies.

Promoting Female Leadership

The El Ojo +Women award continues to encourage female leadership in creative and audiovisual direction. The initiative recognizes campaigns and projects led by women in creative and leadership roles, reaffirming the festival’s commitment to diversity and representation within the industry. The award is once again sponsored by Disney.

El Ojo Local Award

The festival also continues its El Ojo Local program, created to recognize the diversity and excellence of individual markets throughout the region. The competition includes two distinctions: Local Performance and Best Country Idea, bringing together participants from Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Portugal, Spain, the United States, Uruguay, Peru, Paraguay, Ecuador, Bolivia, Puerto Rico, and Central America & the Caribbean.

Judging Process

The winners are selected through a two-stage judging process. First, jurors from across Ibero-America evaluate submissions online to determine finalists and medal winners. In the final stage, jury presidents gather in Buenos Aires to select the Gran Ojo winners—the festival’s highest honor and the equivalent of the Grand Prix at Cannes Lions. The festival will announce the 2026 jury presidents and conference speakers in the coming weeks.
