Decidr AI Industries Ltd (ASX: DAI), the first agentic technology company on the Australian Securities Exchange, today announced it has entered into a binding agreement to acquire Sugarwork: a US-based AI software platform that captures and activates operational knowledge inside businesses. As a result of the acquisition, the platform will be integrated into the DecidrOS, while its standalone discovery and transformation product is now available to the APAC region.
The acquisition into Decidr US. Inc – a wholly owned subsidiary of DAI – marks an important strategic step in accelerating Decidr’s mission to create the Networked Agentic Economy: an ecosystem of intelligent, AI-organisations that are linked and can think and act independently.
Founded in 2022 and headquartered in New York, Sugarwork began by helping organisations capture and own their tacit institutional knowledge. With businesses now adopting AI, but not having a clear view of their underlying workflows, Sugarwork has evolved into a full-spectrum discovery platform mapping the invisible 80% of knowledge inside a business: pinpointing where to invest in automation and AI, and surfacing previously undocumented workflows.
Sugarwork’s platform has already delivered strong results for clients across sectors, including reducing onboarding time by 70% for global AI data provider Appen, and helped surface enterprise-critical processes for a USD$800 million Nasdaq-listed medtech company.
Decidr will embed Sugarwork’s knowledge activation tools into the core DecidrOS onboarding experience, reducing onboarding time for agentic organisations and improving schema precision. Sugarwork will continue to be available as a standalone discovery and transformation product, supporting partners and customers with business transformation before investment in AI is made, as they prepare for Agentification.
David Brudenell, Executive Chair and Co-CEO of Decidr, said: “We’re building the engine that powers the Agentic Economy. With Sugarwork, businesses can quickly uncover hidden knowledge – in many cases the most valuable type of knowledge and see it in a structured way. This exercise making the invisible visible is a powerful starting point for Agentic transformation using Decidr.”
Vanessa Liu, CEO of Sugarwork, said: “We founded Sugarwork to solve a problem every organization faces: knowledge lives in people’s heads. Decidr shares our belief that unlocking this knowledge is the gateway to meaningful, scalable AI. Joining forces accelerates our mission further and faster, giving teams a clear path from discovery to intelligent execution.”
Sugarwork will continue to operate under its existing brand, with added support from Decidr’s technical and commercial teams. Existing Sugarwork customers will gain access to Decidr’s partner ecosystem and innovation roadmap, while new and prospective DecidrOS clients will benefit from an accelerated path to schema-based intelligence.
This acquisition follows Decidr’s recent A$20 million capital raise, and marks another step in building out the tools, partnerships and infrastructure required to deliver agentic AI at global scale. Together, Decidr and Sugarwork will accelerate onboarding for customers, deepen insights for automation, and bring the Agentic Economy closer to reality.
Completion of the transaction remains subject to customary closing conditions, including execution of a definitive merger implementation agreement, Decidr undertaking due diligence, and the parties obtaining any shareholder and regulatory approvals in both the US and Australia. The acquisition is expected to complete by December 31, 2025.
