Ahead of Illumination’s upcoming film Minions & Monsters (in theaters July 1), French’s – the #1 mustard brand in the world – is launching a limited-edition “Goomi’s Green Mustard” inspired by a character in the new film.
The campaign brings the crossover to life through an animated :30 hero spot, supported by :15 and :06 cutdowns across digital and social. In the hero, Minions are hard at work inside the French’s factory when Goomi – a not-so massive, fearsome beast – takes over, turning the brand’s Classic Yellow Mustard green.
French’s partnered with Colle McVoy to develop both the “factory takeover” creative concept and the limited-edition product itself. Goomi’s Green Mustard is available online now and will roll out nationwide at select retailers beginning June 1.
The campaign launches across cinema, OTT (YouTube, Netflix, Peacock, Amazon), and social platforms including Meta and TikTok, and is part of a broader integrated push spanning influencer, retail, social, and experiential activations.-
