Chicken Fans Crow for their Supper – like never before KFC Thailand Celebrated International Fried Chicken Day with its unique “KFC Crow Order”

Bangkok, July 11, 2024 – This year, KFC Thailand brought an extraordinary twist to International Fried Chicken Day with the “KFC Crow Order” campaign, offering fried chicken fans a chance to earn a FREE chicken meal top-up by Crow out aloud and simply using their voices. On July 6, 2024, KFC restaurants raised the volume on the fun and buzzed with excitement as customers flocked to participate in this Crow-for-your-supper, fun-filled offering.

Imagine walking away with free crispy, juicy fried chicken just by crowing like a chicken?! That’s exactly what hundreds of fans experienced on International Fried Chicken Day thanks to another chicken-licious idea from the awesome KFC team.

To participate, customers had to follow these entertaining steps:

  1. Cluck Before the Order: At the counter, to qualify, customers had to flap their arms like chicken wings and make chicken sounds such as “Ek Ek Ek Ek” or “Cock-a-doodle-doo”.
  2. Crow for the Order: Customers had to use these chicken-inspired names when ordering:
    “On-Ai-Et” for the Donjai Set, or “Or-Ai-Uck-Et” for the Porjai Bucket, or “Uer-Auk-Ek-Ae-Uer” for The Box Signature.

Each successful “KFC Crow Order” earned customers an additional piece of free Hot & Spicy fried chicken – a real fan favorite!

The phenomenon of this activity was beyond expectation, with many participants showing off their clucking skills from the moment the store opened. Fans showcased a variety of unique techniques, from rhythmic crowing to melodic chicken songs, and some even dressed up in full chicken costumes to take part in the fun. The event quickly went viral on social media, generating thousands of engagements and shares. enabling the campaign to become a huge success online, It achieved a potential reach of over 2M on social media, with over 2.2 million views within 24 hours on TikTok. Videos of these creative and funny performances spread virally.

“As a fried chicken brand, our heart and soul is light hearted and injecting that fun into the lives of our customers and our teams is a daily mission for us,” said Suhayl Limbada, Market Lead and Chief Marketing Officer at KFC Thailand.

“We decided to go big this International Fried Chicken Day with Our ‘Crow to Get Fried Chicken’ stunt. The more people brought out their inner chicken, the more they were rewarded with our Finger Lickin’ Good chicken! Our fans absolutely loved it and suffice to say, our restaurants were buzzing with Thailand’s best cluckers!,” said Limbada.

The “KFC Crow Order” event was a remarkable success, uniting fried chicken enthusiasts for a day of delicious enjoyment and community spirit. The giveaway was limited to one piece per customer per receipt, with 100 pieces available per branch.

“To all those who participated, our hats (and bowties) off to you for being the best KFC fans in the world.,” ends Limbada.

For those fried fans that missed the action, this special event ran exclusively on July 6, for one day only, at three select locations: KFC Future Park Rangsit, KFC Central Plaza Phitsanulok, and KFC Soi 8 (KFC Meet & Eat) in Nakhon Pathom, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. To keep abreast of one-day-only activation like these, KFC encourages meal lovers alike to follow the fun online, to ensure you never (ever!) miss a reason to crow for your supper.
