Chemistry announced today that it has been honoured in the Websites and Mobile Sites category in the 29th Annual Webby Awards for Keep The Flow, a rebranding and website project for Apple IT partner Digital Arena.
Hailed as the “Internet’s highest honor” by The New York Times, The Webby Awards, presented by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS), is the leading international awards organisation honouring excellence on the Internet.
“Honorees like Chemistry are leading the charge in pushing the boundaries of creativity and innovation online,” said Nick Borenstein, General Manager of The Webby Awards. “Being chosen from nearly 13,000 entries this year is a remarkable accomplishment and a true testament to their excellence.”
Joseph Silk, Chemistry Director says, “To be recognised in the top 25% of all work entered in Webby Awards is a real coup. The Webbys attract some of the biggest and best digital work in the world, and we’re over the moon to be up there among them.”
Neill McAlpine, Senior Art Director at Chemistry, says “We wanted to present Digital Arena’s services as the antithesis to ‘the spinning wheel of death’. The website was designed to literally ‘flow’ from one page to the next, creating an effortless user experience that really stands out in the category.”
The website featured the brand’s signature ‘flow devices’, which gave it a modern, contemporary feel, alongside subtle throwbacks to the earlier days of Mac design, which are a nod to Digital Arena’s origin as the original Apple fan.
“We are thrilled with this recognition from the Webby’s,” says Neil McGowan, Founder, Digital Arena. “The web experience Chemistry created was totally fresh and unexpected in the IT space, capturing our business’s commitment to enabling creativity through seamless, client-focused tech support.”
