Venice, CA, July 28, 2026 – To introduce young High School students to the possibilities of careers in Advertising and creative fields, SATURDAY MORNING the non-profit organization and Cartwright, the Venice-based creative agency is running a series of “Advertising 101” courses. The ADV101 initiative was developed in partnership with award-winning creative collective SATURDAY MORNING, and its co-founders Geoff Edwards of GALE, Jayanta Jenkins, Keith Cartwright and Kwame Taylor-Hayford, to further the organization’s new mission to build a Community Center for Creativity in Inglewood, CA.
The ADV101 series is being offered to Venice High School students who participate in the afterschool programs overseen by the Boys and Girls Club of Venice. This series, developed and led by SATURDAY MORNING and members of the Cartwright team, provides students in the local Venice community with hands-on experience writing, designing and creating ads, as well as educating them on career opportunities within creative fields.

“Giving back is a part of my personal DNA and also foundational to our agency,” explained Keith Cartwright. “Being able to provide educational resources to help build the next generation of creative talent – in particular to underserved communities – has never been more important.”
“For years the Industry has asked the question, ‘‘what next?’ We believe the question is ‘who’s next?’ says Geoff Edwards. The Industry is changing rapidly, but the people aren’t. AD101 will create an environment where untapped talent can be inspired and thrive. So far the response has been great!”
Piloting the ADV101 classes is the next step in the development and launch of the SATURDAY MORNING Community Center for Creativity, the newest initiative from the organization. The Community Center for Creativity is being developed to provide extensive educational opportunities to young students to learn about creative professions.
SATURDAY MORNING, the non-profit organization behind some of the most impactful and award winning marketing and advertising that addresses social injustice and misunderstanding – such as The Look and 8:46 Films – is actively raising funds to build the Center at a location in Inglewood, CA.
