In its first role as the local representative of Cannes Lions, Advertising Council Australia has officially opened jury nominations for 2025’s Cannes Lions and Spikes Asia Festivals of Creativity.
Cannes Lions takes place from 16-20 June 2025 while Spikes Asia is scheduled for March.
Tony Hale, CEO, Advertising Council Australia, said: “Championing creativity is one of of ACA’s key pillars. This is a terrific opportunity for Australia’s best creative talent to judge the most outstanding creative work in the world. We look forward to receiving the highest quality nominations possible.”
The full list of shortlisting and awarding jury categories, along with the complete jury criteria, can be downloaded here and are also outlined below. The nomination form is now available online. Ideally, nominees:
- Are highly creative and innovative leaders in their field, well known and respected in their industry, or a specialist in their category of interest;
- Are at CCO or ECD level for creative categories;
- Have won Lions in the past five years (preferable) or other recognised global awards
- Must be available to participate in relevant judging periods
- Must be willing to cover their own flights
- Gender parity and ethnic diversity on Cannes Lions juries are paramount: please be conscious of this when nominating
*In some categories, non-specialists may have won Lions or senior executives might not be credited. While not all candidates may have won Lions, they must be true specialists, senior, recognised in their field, and have won other significant international awards relevant to their category.
The deadline for nominations is 5pm AEST, Friday 20 September.
