Cannes Lions has launched its highly anticipated Creativity Report 2024, highlighting the best of global creativity in marketing and advertising. This report compiles the LIONS Global Creativity Rankings, a ranking of the world’s most creative companies and individuals, based on their performance at the Cannes Lions Festival 2024.
Driven by expert data and analysis, the report includes commentary from Jury Presidents and the teams behind some of the year’s most influential campaigns. In addition, it explores the Cannes Lions Special Awards, which are won through a points system calculated based on winning entries. These awards, unlike the Lions, are not selected by a jury, but by cumulative performance at the festival.
Among this year’s top winners are iconic names in the industry:
- WPP takes the title of Creative Company of the Year.
- Ogilvy leads as Network of the Year.
- OMD Worldwide wins Media Network of the Year.
- Rethink sweeps two categories: Independent Network of the Year and Independent Agency of the Year.
- Publicis Conseil, Paris is recognized as Agency of the Year.
- In healthcare, FCB Health and AREA 23, an IPG Health Network company, are crowned Health Network of the Year and Healthcare Agency of the Year, respectively.
In the Film category, SMUGGLER (United States) wins the prestigious Palme d’Or, highlighting its excellence in film production.
Finally, Coca-Cola is recognized as Creative Brand of the Year, thanks to its ability to stay at the forefront of creativity and connect with global audiences in innovative ways.
This report is just the first in the LIONS Creativity Report Series, with more analysis and the Creativity People Rankings to be released in November 2024. With a focus on the best of the world’s creative talent, these rankings not only celebrate the winners, but offer deep insight into the trends and strategies that will shape the future of the industry.
