Social media agency Kubbco has launched an awareness campaign fronted by its new “numbers guy” – actor Brian Baumgartner.
In a series of 21 short clips cut for social, numbers guy explains the basics of ‘marketing math’ – such as, “marketing math is spending this year’s leftover budget to keep next year’s budget safe.”
The idea was inspired by the recent Girl Math, Boy Math, and CEO Math social trends that provided an opportunity to trade jokes about the internal calculations each group makes to explain their silly but sometimes not so silly behaviour.
In another clip, Brian says: “If you pay with a company credit card, your social media agency is free! That’s #MarketingMath.”
The intention is to engage by entertaining and encouraging others to create and share their own jokes using the #MarketingMath hashtag via social and, also, lead generation via the campaign landing page.
Kubbco will post clips almost daily from the first going live on November 15th. It will also put paid media behind them and use the learnings to dial in the audience. The campaign will run for four weeks.
