NEW YORK, NY (November 12, 2024) – Supernatural AI today announces the hire of Bob Winter as Chief Creative Officer. In his role, Winter will lead all creative work for Supernatural AI’s agency services arm.
“The future of advertising is providing strategic and creative value with far greater efficiency, and Bob brings a career of incredible creativity to our business,” said John Elder, Co-Founder and CEO at Supernatural AI. “Bob and I first worked together years ago and our most recent effort with U.S. Bank was proof that his thinking was the missing piece to the next phase of our growth. Not only is Bob supremely talented, but in an industry full of egos, he’s one of the nicest humans to work with as well. It just made sense to make things official.”
Creating award-winning work for clients such as PETA, Craftsman, Budweiser, McDonald’s, Nintendo, Altoids, Greenpeace, Ace Hardware and Netflix, Winter’s renowned career included time as ECD of Leo Burnett Chicago, ECD for Crispin Porter + Bogusky and CCO of Leo Burnett, Detroit. Winter is perhaps best known for being the creator of Bud Light’s “Real Men of Genius” campaign at DDB, which is still running to this day, his work is considered “one of the most awarded campaigns in advertising history,” winning multiple Cannes Grand Prix awards and a Grand Clio.
Throughout Winter’s career, he spent many years as a longtime client of Whitehouse Post, an international post-production company with iconic clients like Nike, Coca-Cola, Samsung, Adidas, Disney, McDonald’s, and Porsche, to name a few. Over time, Winter broke the mold of the traditional creative model by concepting alongside directors and the production company instead of the traditional baton pass. This new approach inspired him to found media production shop Majestic Beast in 2023 and serve as Chief Creative Officer, allowing Winter to team up with Whitehouse Post and its brand of companies.
Earlier this year, Whitehouse Post and Supernatural AI collaborated on the national brand campaign, “The Power of US,” for U.S. Bank, showcasing the companies’ complimentary working models and innovative thinking between creative and production. By harnessing the power of AI, both companies worked together to ensure quicker and more effective speed-to-market from strategy to creative to production.
In tandem with Winter’s appointment, Supernatural AI and Whitehouse Post have established an alliance partnership. This will allow Winter to continue to work closely with the team at Whitehouse Post and its network of brands to deliver an end-to-end advertising solution for clients, while serving as CCO at Supernatural AI. This news comes on the heels of Supernatural AI’s recently announced client partnerships with YouGov, the 4A’s and British marketing agency Core London.
“The world still needs great creative from great people. The best idea still wins, but how you get to that best idea, what form it takes and how you bring it to life has changed dramatically. What Supernatural AI is doing is creating power tools for modern marketing,” said Bob Winter, CCO at Supernatural AI. “The tools don’t do everything, but in the right hands they can help people do everything faster, smarter and more efficiently. I’ve seen the power of what we can all do together already, and I’m so excited to help take the agency and its work to new and exciting places.”
Winter will begin his role at Supernatural AI immediately and will be based in Chicago.
