London-based global creative agency Ralph has released the latest issue of its self-titled quarterly pop culture magazine – and it features Ru Paul’s Drag Race winning activist, actor, comedian and Traitors US star Bob The Drag Queen as its cover star.

Bob, who won series eight of Drag Race in 2016, has since gone on to star in a host of movies, become a best-selling author, and as of this year, is the first Black Drag Race winner to land more than two million followers on Instagram. He’s recently made his Broadway debut in Moulin Rouge! The Musical, and was the emcee on Madonna’s most recent Celebration live tour.

Issue Eight of Ralph also features Alexis Taylor of British dance music legends Hot Chip, who provides his own personal water-based playlist, and there’s a Q&A with raved-about new Irish-Cornish five piece Girl In The Year Above, who feature on the soundtrack of the new movie Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man.

Plus, there’s an interview with SNL UK breakout star Paddy Young, as well as a feature on fellow funny man Damien Warren-Smith, known as his alter ego, cult naked comedian Gary Starr.

In this issue, Ralph has also undertaken some of the most important investigative journalism research of recent times – how many chips exactly, should there be in a portion of chippy chips?

They narrowed it down to chunky chips only (not fries) and it had to be one large portion on their own, from an actual chip shop. Then as well as counting the number of chips in portions from chip shops across the UK, they asked a host of food experts, including writer Tom Parker Bowles, two Michelin star chef James Knappett, chef Gizzi Erskine, Channel 4 Sunday Brunch presenters Tim Lovejoy and Simon Rimmer, plus food critic and regular Masterchef judge Jay Rayner, how many they thought made up a decent portion.

After, ahem, crunching the numbers to find the mean average, they established the magic number of chips that should be in a large portion of chip shop chips is exactly 128.

Ralph, which also has offices in Tokyo, Los Angeles and New York, is an BAFTA and Emmy Award-winning entertainment-based creative agency which produces work spanning live events and experiential, to digital content, print and podcasts, working with world famous brands including Netflix, Meta, Ray-Ban, Sky, Nickelodeon, Sony, Corona, Peacock and many more.

Ralph magazine Issue Eight, strapline ‘Fun Worth Finding’, is on sale now and costs £10.
