Today, independent creative agency Big Spaceship, announces it has appointed three new senior hires. Elizabeth Behler, Kristen Goodhue, and Alessandra Pinho will step into the roles of Head of Brand, VP, Program Management, and VP, Strategy, respectively. Behler will report to CEO Ranae Heuer, Goodhue to Managing Director Lindsay Molsen, and Pinho to SVP, Strategy and Analytics Dan Bort.
“I’m thrilled to welcome these three new faces to the Big Spaceship team,” said Heuer. “Lizz, Kristen, and Alessandra understand and epitomize our collective emphasis on Big Spaceship as an agency of progress. Having worked with two of these three ladies in the past, I know they possess the mindsets needed to help their respective disciplines mature and move the needle for our clients.”
In her newly created position, Behler will partner with Heuer and the agency’s founder and executive chairman, Michael Lebowitz, to develop a refreshed brand positioning and product for Big Spaceship, impacting new business prospects, existing clients, and internal talent. Tapping into her creative problem-solving skills, she will take Big Spaceship’s roster of brands to new, strategically sound places. Previously, Behler held strategy roles at Huge and IPG Mediabrands.
“It’s an incredible challenge and gift to develop the positioning and brand for Big Spaceship in such a way that pulls 23 years of innovation and culture forward,” said Behler. “For decades, the agency has remained a best-kept secret for its size. Now, I look forward to reuniting with Ranae and partnering with the leadership team to bring clarity to our offering, highlighting those superpowers that continually drive clients to us.”
As Behler drives brand positioning forward, Goodhue will define and run a program management discipline in her newly created role, ultimately integrating that vision across the business. Meanwhile, Pinho will drive strategy for Big Spaceship’s full roster of clients in her newly created role, with an initial focus on the Chase and Early Warning Services accounts. Goodhue previously held program management positions at Huge and Organic, while Pinho has a track record of driving strategy for some of the industry’s biggest agencies, including Jellyfish, 72andSunny, DDB, Publicis, and Fallon.
“The opportunity to build and define a program management discipline for Big Spaceship at such a pivotal moment in its development drew me to this role,” said Goodhue. “The agency has produced incredible work over the years, scaling from a digital and social shop to a formidable full-service offering. It’s always been on my radar, and I’m excited to play a part in this next chapter.”
“Strategy serves as the key driver behind every piece of counsel Big Spaceship offers its clients,” added Pinho. “I value that mindset and look forward to partnering with the team to hone that approach even further, taking our clients – and, by extension, the industry – to new heights.”
