KANSAS CITY, Mo. – July 23, 2026 – BarkleyOKRP has named Brandon Cooke Chief Marketing and Growth Officer, bringing one of the advertising industry’s most accomplished marketing and growth leaders to the independent agency. Based in New York, Cooke will lead the agency’s marketing and growth efforts across its four U.S. offices, succeeding longtime Chief Growth Officer Jason Parks, who is retiring after nearly three decades with the agency.
Cooke joins BarkleyOKRP from FCB Global, where he most recently served as Global Chief Marketing Officer and International Affiliates Lead. He’ll oversee the agency’s marketing, communications, brand and new business teams across BarkleyOKRP’s four U.S. offices, reporting directly to CEO Katy Hornaday. The role unifies the agency’s client experience and business development efforts under a single leader for the first time. During his nearly decade-long tenure at FCB, he led the agency’s global growth strategy, contributing to major client wins like Kellanova and Kimberly-Clarke while helping elevate FCB into one of the industry’s most awarded and recognized agency networks.
“We have big ambitions and to make our vision real we have to have the very best team,” said Katy Hornaday, CEO of BarkleyOKRP. “Our criteria is pretty simple: incredible talent and no ego in sight. Brandon absolutely lives up to that bar. I’m beyond excited to see how Brandon leads and shapes the growth of BarkleyOKRP.”
“It’s always been about the ‘who’ for me in deciding where I go next,” said Cooke. “Each person I met at BarkleyOKRP from Katy onward gave me the feeling that we could do something special together, while having a lot of fun. Clients feel this too, which makes this opportunity to take the agency to new heights all the more thrilling.”
Cooke succeeds Jason Parks, who throughout his tenure, helped shape the agency into one of the country’s largest independent agencies, leading business development through years of sustained growth, national expansion and industry recognition.
“I’ve been incredibly lucky to spend nearly three decades growing up at BarkleyOKRP—from starting as an intern to leading our growth efforts,” said Parks. “The best part has always been the people. Watching great talent do great work never gets old. Brandon gets what makes BarkleyOKRP special, and I can’t wait to see where he helps take the agency next.”
Cooke has spent more than two decades leading growth at some of advertising’s most respected agencies. Prior to FCB Global, he held senior leadership roles at Grey and mcgarrybowen (now Denstu Creative), where he helped build out its global agency network with major client wins like Procter & Gamble, Intel, United Airlines and Burger King. He was named one of Ad Age‘s “40 Under 40” and is a member of the American Advertising Federation Hall of Achievement.
Cooke’s arrival at BarkleyOKRP is the latest addition to a host of positive moves for the agency. These include the opening of the agency’s first New York office, Brad Jones joining as its new CCO last year, double-digit growth in the agency’s media offering and Cannes Lions making 2026 the agency’s most creatively awarded year ever.
