Melbourne, Australia, November 7, 2024 — The Banksia Foundation, a renowned not-for-profit dedicated to showcasing sustainable business leadership, has partnered with Glow, a leading research technology firm, to encourage sustainable business practices.

This collaboration will highlight sustainability leaders and provide insights into the demands of stakeholders to encourage greater investment in sustainability initiatives.

About the Partnership

The Banksia Foundation has long celebrated businesses, governments and the broader community excelling in sustainability leadership and innovation through its prestigious awards program, now in its 36th year. Glow, with over four years of experience measuring consumer priorities and brand performance in sustainability, brings a robust data-driven approach to this partnership. Together, they aim to capture and promote data that showcases and supports organisations investing in sustainability.

Graz Van Egmond, CEO of The Banksia Foundation, commented “Leading on sustainability in the current climate is challenging. We’re thrilled to partner with Glow to produce data that can support organisations to channel more profits towards purposeful actions.”

Tim Clover, CEO of Glow, added “The Banksia Awards are Australia’s longest-running and most prestigious sustainability awards. We are excited to be able to add the voice of consumers into the mix and to provide data that helps validate investments in sustainable practices.”

New Initiatives Under the Partnership

The partnership introduces several initiatives including:

• People’s Choice Awards: The 36th National Banksia Sustainability Awards will feature a new category powered by Glow, enabling consumers to have a direct influence on award outcomes, amplifying their voices in recognising sustainable organisations.

• Demand Signal Data: Glow will capture ongoing data on public sustainability priorities for publication by Banksia to help organisations align their investment strategies with stakeholder needs.

• Local Heroes Spotlight – the partnership will innovate ways to capture public nominations for local businesses to champion the difference they’re making in their community.

• Research Access: Banksia supporters can access Glow’s extensive sustainability research repository, including benchmarks covering hundreds of brands. Supporters can also use Glow’s research services at preferential rates to assess and enhance their sustainability programs and communications.
