Toronto-based production company ANIMALS is thrilled to announce the addition of Marianna Phung to its roster for commercial representation across Canada. With a passion for storytelling and a deep understanding of character dynamics, Marianna brings a unique perspective to her work that effortlessly blends drama and comedy.
As a director, Marianna approaches each project with a sense of curiosity and exploration, seeking to uncover the essence of the human experience. Her ability to infuse comedic moments with authenticity and depth sets her apart, resulting in work that resonates on both emotional and intellectual levels. With a diverse portfolio that includes collaborations with global brands such as Gillette, Bud Light, and WestJet, Marianna has proven herself to be a versatile and dynamic storyteller.
Marianna’s talents extend beyond the realm of commercials, as demonstrated by her work on TV projects like ‘Ezra’ (OUTtv) and ‘Pillow Talk’ (Crave). In these endeavors, she showcases her ability to create immersive worlds that are as emotionally rich as they are humorous. Her achievements, including winning Best Director at Toronto’s 48hr Film Challenge for ‘May Flowers’ and earning Best International Short Film at the Houston Comedy Film Festival for ‘Cranberry Flirt,’ underscore her knack for crafting narratives that captivate audiences and leave a lasting impression.
Chris Hutsul and Miriana DiQuinzio, executive producers at ANIMALS, express their excitement about Marianna joining the team, stating, “As soon as we saw Marianna’s short film ‘Cranberry Flirt’, we knew we had to meet her.
