Adam&eveDDB has announced the appointment of Rene Ramirez as the new head of creative talent and culture at its New York office. In this key role, Rene will oversee creative recruitment and operations, working closely with Richard Brim, Global CCO, and Caroline Winterton, CEO, US, to enhance the agency’s talent pool, culture, and creative capabilities.
Rene Ramirez brings extensive experience to the role, having started his advertising career at McClain Finlon Advertising in Denver. He later moved to New York, where he has held positions at prestigious agencies including McCann, TBWA, The Martin Agency, and most recently, Droga5. At Droga5, Rene spent over seven years honing his skills in various roles, culminating in his position as director of creative talent. His leadership contributed to Droga5’s recognition as Agency of the Decade by Ad Age and Adweek, as well as Agency of the Year by Ad Age in 2021 and Creativity Agency of the Year in 2019.
Rene joins adam&eveDDB at a significant moment as the agency expands its presence with a new operation in San Francisco. As head of creative talent and culture, Rene will focus on recruiting new talent, enhancing creative operations, and ensuring that creativity thrives throughout the agency. His role includes mentoring, retention, and attracting a new generation of creative professionals who value work-life balance.
“Talent is everything,” said Caroline Winterton, CEO of adam&eveDDB US. “Rene’s deep passion for creativity, his exceptional talent identification skills, and his understanding of the systems needed to produce impactful work will be invaluable. We look forward to seeing the positive changes he will bring to our agency and our clients.”
Rene’s strategic vision and expertise are expected to drive innovation and creative excellence at adam&eveDDB US, meeting the evolving needs of clients and giving brands a competitive edge.
Rene Ramirez commented, “I couldn’t pass up the chance to work with Caroline again. I’m excited to be part of such a dynamic agency and to push the boundaries of what’s possible. Our goal is to build a world-class creative team, produce culturally significant work, and attract the most talented and unconventional creatives.”
Since the merger of adam&eveNYC and DDB New York in June 2023, the agency has achieved impressive success under the leadership of Caroline Winterton and James Rowe, managing director. The agency has added several new accounts and delivered groundbreaking campaigns for clients such as Marmite, the International Paralympic Committee, and Nathan’s Famous, gaining international acclaim.
These achievements have set the stage for adam&eveDDB’s expansion, including the recent launch of adam&eveDDB West in January 2024. The new branch serves clients like Molson Coors, Unilever, and Energy Upgrade California, further solidifying the agency’s growth across the US.
