London, May 2 2025: adam&eveDDB has hired the multi-award-winning strategist Lori Meakin as Planning Partner.

Along with being a celebrated strategist and the co-founder of creative agency Joint London, Lori is an author, researcher and renowned gender equality activist.

In her new role as Planning Partner, Lori will be leading strategy teams on key clients including McCain. She will also apply her expertise in gender communications to help brands find new ways to innovate and grow. She reports to adam&eveDDB Chief Strategy Officer Will Grundy.

Lori co-founded Joint in 2012, where she worked with brands including Amazon, Vue, Google and Reach. Her work with Amazon resulted in commercially and critically successful ads, including ‘Vicar & Imam’, ranked the most successful technology ad tested in System1’s database; and Prime’s ‘Rapunzel’, which won multiple awards including a Gerety which celebrates ‘the best in advertising that resonates most with a female audience’.

She also led the launch of TSB back on to the British high street, resulting in it becoming Britain’s most recommended and fastest-growing high street bank.

Through her career, Lori has won top industry awards across branding, advertising, broadcast promotions, strategy and effectiveness, including an IPA Effectiveness Grand Prix for her work on drugs education for the Health Education Authority.

She is the author of the book ‘No More Menemies: Getting Beyond the Fear & Frustration of the Gender Wars’, which gained widespread recognition, ranking the #3 Best Seller in Amazon’s Women Writers & Women’s Writing category.

A dedicated gender equality activist, Lori is a WACL executive who has worked with gender-focused organisations, including #timeTo, Just Like Us, the English Collective of Prostitutes, My Image My Choice and Women in Journalism. She is also a Fellow of The Royal Society for Arts, Manufactures and Commerce.

Will Grundy said: “Lori is not only a celebrated strategist with vast experience of driving growth and innovation for some of the worlds’ biggest brands, she’s an expert on gender representation and a tireless campaigner for gender equality. She’s a hugely inspiring, progressive thinker who will help our agency and our clients put Feeling First in all sorts of incredible ways.”

Lori Meakin said: “There aren’t many iconic brands in this industry, but adam&eveDDB is deservedly one. I’m thrilled to be joining, and doing all I can to support Miranda, Will, Ant and Mike as they lead the agency into an even brighter future.”
