Mumbai — April, 2026: Absolut Creative Commune, Absolut’s long-standing platform for bold and boundary-pushing visual expression, returns with its fourth edition, continuing its commitment to nurturing contemporary Indian art. Curated for the second consecutive year by multidisciplinary artist and producer Spryk (Tejas Nair), this edition introduces a compelling new thematic lens: ‘Born Colourless’.
At a time when generative AI has made instant visual creation increasingly accessible, Absolut Creative Commune re-centers the value of slow art; a deliberate, thoughtful approach rooted in craft, intent, and lived experience. This year, the platform brings together six emerging and established Indian visual artists: Era Namjoshi, Akshita Sinha, Amalendu Kaushik, Damini Gupta, Surabhi Banerjee, and Abhijit Vinayak.
“Curating the Absolut Creative Commune for the second consecutive year has been an honour and a journey of discovery. In today’s hyper-paced world, ‘slow art’ is an act of quiet rebellion—it asks us to pause and appreciate the craft, research, and soul poured into every piece. This edition, Born Colourless, is a vibrant reflection of India’s visual and cultural diversity, proving that a canvas free of prescribed ‘colour’ can hold the most infinite spectrum of experience,” said Spryk | Tejas Nair, Creative Commune Curator.
“Absolut has always championed creative expression and artists shaping culture. With Absolut Creative Commune, we’re deepening that commitment, creating a platform that supports contemporary Indian visual artists while keeping craft, conversation, and cultural nuance at the center of everything we do,” said Pulkith Modi, Senior Director — Marketing, International Brands at Pernod Ricard India.
