A Global Creator Wellbeing Program Supporting the Next Generation of Creators

NEW YORK & LONDON – July 9, 2026 – SuperAwesome, the leader in technology for safely engaging Gen Alpha and Gen Z, has announced the launch of Creator Aware, a new global creator wellbeing framework designed to support the next generation of creators and the young audiences they inspire.

As the creator economy continues to grow, creators are facing unprecedented pressures. From navigating an always-on culture and unpredictable platform algorithms to managing public scrutiny, online criticism, and blurred boundaries between work and personal identity. Content creation has become increasingly demanding, particularly for younger creators and those whose audiences are primarily kids and teens.

Creator Aware has been developed to help creators thrive sustainably while maintaining the highest standards of responsibility, transparency, and audience protection. The program applies to all creators working with SuperAwesome across its global network.

Key components of the Creator Aware program include:

➜ Mental health support – SuperAwesome will roll out specialist-led mental health support and training in partnership with leading mental health service provider Self Space. SuperAwesome’s creator partners will have free access to professional resources designed to help them manage the unique pressures of public content creation and seek support when needed.

➜ Wellbeing commitments for creators – An evolved set of welfare commitments by creators prioritizes healthy working practices and work-life balance, including clear expectations around safeguarding young creators and ensuring education and wellbeing are never compromised for content production.

➜ Positive content guidance – New guidance will encourage creators to use their platforms to promote positive, constructive messaging, particularly for teen audiences, through authentic role modeling and responsible influence.

➜ Market-leading audience safeguards – The program builds on SuperAwesome’s established disclosure requirements, endorsement standards, and content safeguards and is designed to ensure content remains transparent, age-appropriate, and safe for young audiences.

➜ Protected payments for young creators – Creators below the age of 18 can now receive payments directly into trusts established in their own name, rather than solely through a parent or guardian, helping provide greater financial protection and independence.

On the launch of the new program, Kevin McCarty of The McCartys – one of the biggest family creators with over 24M followers across platforms – said, “The creator space can be an incredible journey that opens the doors to amazing experiences, but it can also be very mentally taxing along the way. We wear hundreds of different hats in the content we produce and constantly need to find the energy to keep creating, innovating, and growing in the wake of an ever-changing algorithm that may or may not be in our favor in a particular moment. It can be a lonely world, and having Creator Aware as a place to turn when it becomes too mentally exhausting and, more often than not, anxiety-inducing is a priceless tool to have.”

Amira Tahri, a 17-year-old Athlete and Content Creator, added, “I’ve been sharing content about my life online since I was really young, and I’m grateful for everyone who’s supported me along the way. Social media has opened so many doors for me, but it also comes with a pressure that most people don’t see. Especially for teen creators, it’s not uncommon to feel insecure as a result of negative comments or DM’s. Having the right support makes it easier to tune out the negativity and keep doing what you love. That’s why I think initiatives like Creator Aware are so important.”

Nick Walters, SuperAwesome’s President & Chief Strategy Officer, added, “Creators today are entrepreneurs, entertainers, and role models for a new generation all at the same time. At SuperAwesome, we’ve always sought to do the right thing for young audiences, and that includes doing the right thing for the creators we work with. As the demands placed on creators continue to grow, Creator Aware represents our commitment to helping them pursue their ambitions in a healthy, sustainable way while ensuring the content young people see remains positive, transparent, and age-appropriate. We believe a healthier creator ecosystem ultimately benefits creators, audiences, and brands alike.”

Jodie Cariss, Therapist, Founder and CEO of Self Space, said, “We’re delighted to partner with SuperAwesome on Creator Aware. We’re seeing increasing demand for mental health support among young people navigating digital lives. This program recognizes the unique challenges creators face and provides meaningful access to support when it’s needed most.”

For brands, Creator Aware also consolidates SuperAwesome’s existing creator training programs, content-vetting safeguards, disclosure requirements, and audience-protection standards into a single framework. This provides marketers with greater confidence that creator partnerships are being delivered responsibly, with creator wellbeing, transparency, and youth safety embedded throughout the campaign process.

By bringing creator welfare and audience protection together under one program, Creator Aware aims to establish a new benchmark for responsible creator marketing, helping brands build trusted relationships with young audiences while supporting the long-term sustainability of the creator ecosystem.
