Winners of KIAF 2023

The 24th Kyiv International Advertising Festival announced the names of the winners of 13 contests. Among the announced awards are 10 Best of Contest, 13 Gold, 46 Silver, 106 Bronze winners and 162 Shortlists from 32 countries. “Carol for Charity”, created by Saatchi & Saatchi Ukraine, has won the Grand Prix.

KIAF 2023 was dedicated exclusively to socially significant communications. Make the world a better place is the main message that the festival brings to creators all over the world.

The contest program of the festival consisted of 13 competitions and 143 categories. 1 025 entries from 33 countries competed for the awards that were evaluated by five international jury teams with 41 experienced and titled advertisers from 25 countries.

The festival announces winners who best demonstrate the use of creative communications to create change and positively impact the world in 13 contests:

· PEACE

· Environment & Sustainability

· Human Rights, Justice & Strong Institutions

· Education: Quality, Civic & Social Education

· Gender Equality & LGBTQ Rights

· Poverty & Hunger

· Health & Well-Being

· Children: Health/Safety/Happiness

· Prosperity: Economic Growth, Innovations, Industry

· Animal Care & Protection

· Arts and Culture

· Partnership for The Goals

· Local Solutions

In the 2023 season it was presented a special contest PEACE, created for works and campaigns that against war, aggression, genocide, crimes against humanity, including the current war in Ukraine. Among the priorities in this contest are to promote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development, reduce violence, combat crime and terrorism; combat organized crime and illicit financial and arms flows etc.

Participants received 175 awards and 162 shortlistsfrom 32 countries: Australia, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Great Britain, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, Uzbekistan and Venezuela. 

The Grand Prix of this year’s festival went to the Ukrainian project “Carol for Charity” of the Saatchi & Saatchi Ukraine agency for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. This is a story about the reimagining of the world-famous Ukrainian “Carol of the Bells” to help Ukrainian children cared for by the Olena ZelenskaFoundation.
