Robyn was most recently working in freelance consultancy
Robyn D’Arcy has been appointed as head of data at AMV BBDO, responsible for growing and evolving the agency’s data offering and widening its areas of expertise. She will report to the new chief strategy officer Martin Weigel and to the heads of strategy Lola Neves and Sam Williams.
She takes up the role after seven years’ experience of leading teams of data scientists and analysts, during which she has developed a track record of marrying data with strategic and creative vision, driven by the conviction that the best ideas come from the best insight.
A key element of Robyn’s new role is to root AMV BBDO’s strategy offer in the agency’s Radical Empathy and Open-API positioning, drawing data from sources including social, search, web, consumer and cultural analysis, and trends research, and translating it into soulful insights which unlock powerful creative ideas. Robyn is also responsible for helping AMV’s clients navigate evolving regulations relating to privacy and the management of first-party data.
AMV BBDO’s heads of strategy Lola Neves and Sam Williams say, ‘We’re beyond excited to have Robyn join us. She brings a wealth of experience, marries data and insight with strategic and creative vision and has the most wonderful, contagious energy. A true AMV-er. We can’t wait to see the impact she will have on getting us to even greater creative and effectiveness heights”.
Robyn D’Arcy, head of data at AMV BBDO, says, “I’m beyond thrilled to be joining an agency that considers data and creativity to be intrinsically linked, and with a culture that is as focused on collaboration and community as it is on innovation”.
Most recently Robyn has been working in freelance consultancy but before that she was with Wunderman Thompson for three years, latterly as senior strategic insights lead. She started in marketing strategy in the role of analyst at Four Communications in 2017, working her way up to senior insights manager by 2019.
An expert in all things AI and a Data IQ under 30 shortlister, D’Arcy has had her data journalism published in both trade and consumer publications, including Creativebrief, BITE, Cosmopolitan and Marie Claire.
