Barry joins from social media agency The Fifth Group
New Stance, Miroma Group’s influencer marketing and creative social agency, has appointed Sky’s former director of media strategy, Barry Louth, as new business and marketing director.
The appointment comes as New Stance seeks to promote its specialist expertise to major brands and advertisers, in particular within the Sports and Entertainment sectors where it is already seeing growing fame for its creative and impactful social media campaigns for the likes of Spotify, Paramount+, and Mars.
Barry joins from social media agency The Fifth Group, where he set up and ran the New Business function and helped bring in key accounts including Eurostar and the AELTC. Prior to this he spent more than a decade at Sky, rising to director of media strategy, Innovation and Investment, overseeing the deployment of more than £250m media investment across multiple entertainment and telecoms products and services. He also helped launch major brands such as Now TV, Sky Mobile and a swathe of major new entertainment shows. Earlier in his career Barry has also had stints at BT and PHD.
Mark Keisner, CEO and founder of New Stance, said, “Barry has an incredible track record in identifying opportunities for forward-thinking businesses and having him on board will really drive forward the agency’s opportunities to deliver impactful, creative partnerships for brands”.
Barry Louth added, “Influencer-led partnerships revolutionised the way marketers look at social and are continuing to evolve every day, with the surge in popularity of short form video content.
“While other strategies have come into place it remains the most impactful and engaging medium when it comes to brands’ ability to reach new audiences.”
