In a groundbreaking initiative, The&Partnership Nordics, Toyota Finland’s lead agency, has launched an experiential campaign in collaboration with the Turku City Library. This pioneering project allows library cardholders to borrow an electric car from the library, marking the first time such an endeavor has been undertaken worldwide.
The primary objective of this experiment is to provide the citizens of Turku with access to new mobility options while minimizing carbon emissions. Taking place over a three-week trial period, from May 8 to May 28, individuals can participate in the program by following the standard lending procedures to borrow an electric Toyota bZ4X from the Turku City Library.
Toyota’s involvement in this venture stems from their commitment to promoting low-emission technologies and their track record of integrating such advancements into everyday life. The recently launched fully electric Toyota bZ4X, aligning seamlessly with their vision, has become the world’s first electric library car available for borrowing.
The collaboration between Toyota and the Turku City Library demonstrates shared values, unified visions, and a strong desire to create novel opportunities for the community. The&Partnership Nordics, as Toyota Finland’s lead agency, has played a pivotal role in shaping and executing this campaign, aiming to revolutionize the way people perceive mobility and environmental sustainability.
By combining the resources and expertise of a renowned automotive manufacturer and the accessibility of a public library, this initiative sets a new benchmark for innovative solutions. It enables library patrons to experience the benefits of electric vehicles while contributing to a greener future.
As this extraordinary campaign unfolds, it serves as a testament to the power of collaboration and the potential for unconventional partnerships to address contemporary challenges. The groundbreaking project led by The&Partnership Nordics and supported by Toyota Finland and the Turku City Library not only empowers individuals to embrace sustainable mobility but also paves the way for similar initiatives to be implemented on a global scale.
