Global network agency Cheil has announced the establishment of its dedicated retail business, OneRX, in Australia. This move comes after years of growth in the local market and the agency’s commitment to further enhancing its core specializations in retail, digital, and creative production.
The launch of the dedicated retail business aims to support both Cheil’s flagship client, Samsung, and its newly acquired and future clients. OneRX, a part of the Cheil Global Network, will be accompanied by the introduction of CYLNDR, the agency’s global content and creative production arm.
Mark Anderson, Managing Director of Cheil Australia, expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “We are thrilled to elevate Cheil to the next level following a period of sustained growth, despite the challenges faced in recent years. Our integration as an Australian business and the addition of our sister agencies, Cylndr and OneRX, will create clear distinctions among the various specializations we offer in the Australian market, all while being supported by our Global Cheil network through Cheil Connec+.”
The announcement of these two new entities, alongside the agency’s recent expansion with the opening of a second office in Surry Hills, Sydney, last year, marks another significant milestone in Cheil’s history.
OneRX, with offices across Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, will serve as the consolidated and specialized retail division of the Australian agency. It will focus on designing, developing, and executing in-store communications, product displays, and store enhancements. Retail production will be supported by manufacturing facilities located in Turkey and Vietnam. Meanwhile, CYLNDR will provide end-to-end creative production services to facilitate the development of hyper-targeted creative.
Cheil Australia, as the parent company, will continue to build its strategic, digital, martech, and broader CX capabilities through its new operation in Surry Hills. OneRX has already collaborated closely with Samsung on the design, production, and launch of their new format stores in Australia, aiming to create open, accessible, and modern spaces.
Mark, who will oversee the three operations, added, “This change is not only intended to drive our long-term growth strategy and market positioning but also to support our people by providing greater opportunities for advancement at every level.”
Michael Ndeira, appointed as the agency’s Retail Experience Director in 2022, will lead the retail offering. Michael expressed his excitement, stating, “It is an incredibly exciting time for the business, and I am thrilled to play a pivotal role in elevating our retail capabilities and offerings to new heights.”
