Partnership will be launched with a celebratory event marking Eid on the 11th May
Wunderman Thompson UK and Muslim professional social network EmeraldNetwork (Emerald) have joined forces, with the partnership inaugurated with a celebratory event for Eid.
Wunderman Thompson’s initiative marks the first time the UK advertising industry has run a dedicated event for Eid, which symbolises the end of Ramadan, the month-long fasting for Muslims. Emerald is the longest-running and leading Muslim professional network of its kind, with membership spanning diverse professions and locations, both within the United Kingdom and beyond.
The event, called CREATEID, will take place on May 11th at Greater London House, the site of Wunderman Thompson’s London office. It will include a Quran recitation and reflection by Qari Is’haaq Jasat, a curated contemporary Islamic architecture photography exhibition, live Arabic calligraphy (by Samir Malik) and cultural cuisine. Guests will also can learn more about the respective organisations and the importance of commitment to diversity and faith in the workplace.
The aim is to create a space for Wunderman Thompson’s people and the wider industry to broaden their network, establish meaningful connections and embrace the spirit of unity and inclusivity in an engaging and immersive experience.
