Watsons and Leo Burnett Malaysia have released their third festive campaign together, this time stemming from the insight of Malaysian families passing down precious heirlooms to the next generation. The latest film, Rahsia Gaya Raya, is centered around two estranged sisters and a generational necklace which mysteriously goes missing.
Starring real-life sisters Ayda Jebat and Fyna Jebat as Divatectives (a play on words “diva” and “detective”), the film depicts the love-hate relationship between the sisters as they compete against each other in various Raya-related mystery cases through the years, eventually working on their biggest case of all: the missing generational necklace.
As the leading health and beauty brand in Malaysia, Watsons is all about helping Malaysians look good and feel good. This is evident too in this year’s film, as each family member achieves their best Raya look and feels good about each other, especially the Divatective sisters, embodying the true secret of Raya—forgiveness and love.
Previous festive campaign’s between Leo Burnett and Watsons include 2022’s futuristic Gaya Raya Luar Biasa film, and the recent high-fashion Chinese New Year film featuring a rabbit DJ to celebrate the Year of the Rabbit.
Rahsia Gaya Raya was brought to life with the help of Malaysian celebrities and influencers – Ayda Jebat, Fyna Jebat, Didie Alias, Faizal Hussein, Nabil Mahir and Sheeda Ali.
As of today, Monday 17th April, Watsons’ Rahsia Gaya Raya film, has over 9 million views across YouTube and Facebook.
