This year marks IKEA’s 45th anniversary in Singapore, and that’s a really long time. Anyone who’s visited an IKEA store would be familiar with the brand’s iconic pencils provided for free, and most of us would have definitely gone home with one. So what better way to celebrate a really long history, than to launch a long version of the iconic IKEA pencil?
In fact, a really really long one – so much so, that it needs to be posted as a carousel.
“As a nod of appreciation to the people who have supported the brand over the years, we thought it would be fun to create some nostalgia with the iconic IKEA pencil that we all know and love,” said Asheen Naidu, Executive Creative Director at TBWA\Singapore.
Fans of the brand can visit IKEA stores across Singapore from 27 Apr – 1 May, and stand a chance to go home with this collectible long pencil, alongside other long-themed social activations and in-store executions. So hurry down now as they’re sure to be whisked away in no time.
