The agency will work across the airport operator’s key initiatives including internal and external brand strategy and communication campaigns.

AMSTERDAM: Dubai Airports, operator of one of the world’s most celebrated and successful airports, has partnered with 180 to work on a number of brand strategy and communication campaigns that include both internal and external communication programmes.

Dubai International (DXB) has emerged as the world’s busiest and one of the most important international hubs. It won numerous accolades including the ‘Airport of the Year’ award at the Aviation Business Awards 2022 and registered a 127% jump in annual passenger traffic to 66.1 million last year. The airport is forecast to welcome more than 78 million passengers in 2023 as the United Arab Emirates prepares to host major international events including Dubai Airshow 2023 and the COP28 climate conference.

Sander Volten, Global CEO of 180 said of the appointment: “To be given this opportunity, by the world’s best brand in its category, is something we’re very proud of. We want to work with partners who share our vision to create ‘The World As It Could Be’ and in Dubai Airports, we’ve found a team who truly embody that spirit and ambition.”

Michelle Lee, Vice President Brand & Communications at Dubai Airports said: “180 offers the collaborative way of working as well as the strategic capabilities and creative firepower that we seek in our partners. We look forward to working together to develop exciting and creative campaigns for the Dubai Airports brand, and to support DXB’s position as the biggest and the best airport in the world.”

The work will be led by 180’s Amsterdam hub, pulling in expertise from across 180’s global ecosystem including resource from the MENA region.
