Tower Insurance campaign from Bastion Shine delves into fast-moving world

AUCKLAND, Today: Tower has launched the latest iteration of its creative platform with a TVC-led campaign reassuring Kiwis that no matter what unexpected turn of events life throws at them; Tower has their back.

The 30-second spot, entitled Skylight, centres on a couple simply seeking more light in their living room – only to have that delivered in the most dramatic fashion when an astronaut unexpectedly falls through the ceiling.

Bastion Shine drew on its expertise across creative, design and strategy to deliver the campaign that melds the core creative platform of life. The lead AV spot was directed by Florence Noble and produced by Eight Australasia.

“We know how difficult it is to cut through in the insurance category, so we’re really excited to combine the fast-moving world insight with absurd moments of catastrophe,” said Bastion Shine chief creative officer Richard Maddocks.

Tower head of marketing & CX Michelle Finch said: “The campaign reinforced the brand’s leadership position in the New Zealand market as it protected Kiwis against the unexpected.

“Tower has recently been named General Insurer of the Year by Insurance Business NZ, and for the second year running, Canstar’s Car Insurer of the Year and Outstanding Value Car Insurance for 2021 and 2022.

“We wanted to let New Zealand know that even though life can change fast in ways you haven’t even thought of, Tower is a great option for protecting the things you love.”

The campaign launched November 6 on television, alongside supporting channels including digital, social, VOD, radio and search.
