Filmgraphics has a longstanding relationship with Barcelona based director Ernest Desumbila and represents him exclusively in the Australia and NZ markets.
Desumbila was awarded Best Young Director in Cannes 2014. The following year he rose to international fame with his Adidas ‘There Will Be Haters’ campaign, which became a viral phenomenon.
Desumbila’s latest action-packed football film ‘Nutmeg Royale’ for PEPSI starring football icons: Lionel Messi, Paul Pogba and Ronaldinho for the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2022 was released globally this week. The spot was shot in Morocco, Milan and Paris, where Ernest only had access to the footballers for 2 to 4 hours, with a lot of work done in post to replace doubles.
Desumbila is involved in all the post aspects on his epic design-based work working through his own post house.
True storytelling runs through Desumbila’s veins. In all his work viewers can feel his love for graphic design, video games, manga and of course cinema. He has worked with brands such as Nike, Gatorade, Puma, Axe and for telcos, cars, beverages, video games and music videos.
What is always at the core of Desumbila’s work is something incredibly unique. Filmgraphics represents several overseas directors all of whom bring something different to the local market.
