AUDACITY, BANGKOK NAMED REGIONAL INDEPENDENT AGENCY OF THE YEAR FOR ASIA AT LIA 2022

audacity Bangkok was founded by Jon Chalermwong, Pichaiphat Tananont, Wisawut Nuchpoom and Pisut Nirodsil. The four advertising veterans had audacious creative mindsets to open their own shop in 2020 during the pandemic. In 2022, “The Truth” an online film for Car Hero has been a major contributor to audacity’s success. The campaign has recently brought home 5 statues including Thailand’s first Regional Independent Agency of the Year award at LIA 2022.

Jon Chalermwong, Co-Founder and Chief Creative, said: “We are extremely humbled and honored by this recognition. Especially being the first Thai independent agency to receive this blue trophy is beyond belief. Thanks to Car Hero, our audacious client that believes in creativity and gives us complete freedom. It shows the effectiveness of “The Avenger Team” concept that combines great talents from planners to producers in order to deliver impactful work.”

At the recently concluded London International Awards 2022, “The Truth” for Car Hero, recieved one gold and 3 silver statues.

Chalermwong said film brought audacity, bangkok big wins at LIA2022 because it ticks many boxes.

He said the film has the unique selling point “The real hero of used car” compare to competitors that focus on convenience.

“The film has all the flavors of entertainment. It has drama, humor, emotion and romance. When it comes to online commercial videos, viewers tend to skip whenever they can. So we created an online film that has the stopping power and makes people watch til the end without skipping it, just like a movie trailer,” said Chalermwong.

He explains that they chose Audacity as an agency name as it means a willingness to take a bold risk.

“We dare to do the right things for clients and consumers. We love to work with clients who believe that idea is the heart of effective marketing. Even though we are 3 years old small agency but all management people at audacity have 20+ years of experience in network agencies,” said Chalermwong.

Audacity’s business model consists of 3 parts, Part 1 is Creative Solution and Marketing Consultant, a comprehensive marketing consultant for clients who are looking for experts to help with the creative process that don’t just do advertisements. Part 2 Talent Cloud, a platform that helps marketers provide a one-stop service, a source of quality talent under the concept of “part-time talent, full-time commitment” that covers brand strategists, creative teams, art directors, and copywriters, content writer designers, and digital media optimization. Part 3 audacity BKK, a Knowledge Hub or marketing knowledge source that brings the world-class marketing case to penetrate deeply analyze and share a creative marketing perspective like never before.

In just two years, audacitybkk has 15,000 followers on Tiktok, facebook, YouTube and instagram.

Besides award recognition, another highlight for the agency is that audacity recently won three new businesses in the last 2 months – confirmation, says Chalermwong, that audacious work can attract clients who seek bold creative solutions.
