Full-service agency littleBIG has won the PR and Digital accounts for the Asia Pacific Incentives and Meetings Event (AIME) which will be held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) from 13 – 15 February 2023.
AIME is the flagship trade event for the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE) community in the Asia Pacific region (APAC). It brings together thousands of international and local buyers to access hundreds of global exhibitors. In 2023, AIME will celebrate its 30thanniversary.
The win signals a broadening of littleBIG’s already expanding suite of tourism and destination clients which includes Visit Grampians, Queen Victoria Market, City of Ballarat, Innocent Bystander, Tamar Ridge, Devil’s Corner, Winemakers of Rutherglen, Macedon Ranges Vigneron Association, Sovereign Hill, Melbourne Airport, Beerfest, Sip and Savour and The Ascott Limited.
Sally Harley, littleBIG Founder, describes the bringing together of PR and Digital under one ‘agency roof’ as an incisive move by AIME and characterises littleBIG’s acquisition of the MICE juggernaut as a natural progression of the agency’s burgeoning portfolio.
“Synergising different parts of the marketing mix is invaluable both in terms of presenting a cohesive brand and ensuring bang for buck. It’s also a major strength of our agency to deliver a multi-faceted approach and we are delighted to bring this to the AIME account.
Business tourism events are economic powerhouses contributing billions to the Australian economy. They are major drivers of growth, fostering trade, employment, infrastructure development, knowledge transfer and industry investment.
Our storytelling capabilities span the travel and destination sectors. We spend a great deal of time immersed in the industry through our client work but we also listen to thought leaders and attend directional industry events all of which expand our sphere of reference. This put us in a strong position to tell the wider AIME story,” she said
Michelle Dawson, AIME Marketing & Communications Manager, describes the client/agency relationship so far as highly collaborative and looks forward to continuing a productive partnership into 2023.
“AIME is owned by the Melbourne Convention Bureau and managed by Talk2 Media & Events. As the flagship tradeshow in the APAC region, it is a linchpin on the business events calendar and critical to its success is a symbiotic working relationship with all our partners.
The littleBIG team has so far felt like a natural expansion of our own and we look forward to seeing how their proven expertise in the travel and destination space can bring something new to AIME in its 30th year,” she says.
Celebrating 15 years in 2022, littleBIG is a full-service marketing agency that propels food & drink, tourism and lifestyle brands and experiences. The agency has received a Travel PR Agency of the Year nomination at the 2022 Mumbrella Travel Marketing Awards.
