Sachin Makani will lead US scientific strategy and communications for Golin and Virgo Health.
NEW YORK — Golin has tapped Sachin Makani to oversee scientific strategy and communications for Golin Health and Virgo Health in the US.
As executive VP of scientific strategy and communication, Makani will be responsible for delivering science-first health and medical communications for life sciences brands.
A Virgo veteran, Makani also will work with Golin Health’s analytics and creative teams to develop impactful digital content
He will continue to lead medical communications and peer-to-peer strategies as he did during his seven years at Virgo, where he most recently served as executive VP of scientific strategy and communication. New York- based Makani reports to global healthcare president Cori McKeever.
Makani brings nearly two decades of scientific research and medical training to this role, receiving a PhD in neuroscience and physiology from New York University’s School of Medicine, as well as a postdoctoral fellowship at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He joined Virgo in 2018 as senior scientific director.
