Fitness company Peloton has launched a new campaign with a fully nude 61-year-old Christopher Meloni, a.k.a. the internet’s “zaddy,” working out like nothing at all is wrong.
“Apparently some people think the way I work out is strange,” Meloni says in the new ad. “Honestly, I don’t get it. Me, I don’t think using the Peloton app is strange at all.”
Meloni goes on to reveal (see what we did there?) that he uses Peleton for yoga, cardio, meditation, and strength training. “I even use the app for running,” he confesses while out for a leisurly nude run. “Now, does that seem strange to you?”
The one-minute spot closes with voiceover narration parodying Meloni’s role as Detective Elliot Stabler in the Law & Order TV franchise: “In the Peloton community, users are represented by two separate but equally motivated groups. Those who wear pants, and Christopher Meloni.”
Meloni kept the joke going with a funny tweet giving props to the wardrobe department for the ad, writing: “Shout out to the wardrobe dept on this one. Those socks were amazing.”
